Enema
The most interesting fact about at home colon cleanses to me is that they used to be done in hospitals for many years. Then with the advent of insurance companies dictating what services would be paid for and which ones wouldn’t, the colonics started to become like a dinosaur – extinct.
Insurance Companies Got It Wrong… and Paid Dearly
Little did the insurance companies know that this was a big mistake. You see, if you can eliminate all the unnecessary waste from the body before a surgical operation is done, then you can heal a lot faster. It makes perfect sense if you really sit down to think about it. Would you wrap up your dirty hand with a bandage after cutting your finger? No. You’d wash the hand first and then by doing so, you would expect it to heal faster.
Once someone is given painkillers like Motrin and Vicodin, these slow down peristalsis of the intestinal tract. It’s a known fact that painkillers do this, and yet doctors continue prescribing them on a daily basis. And once the colon peristalsis is slowed to a standstill, you’re essentially swimming in your own wastes. And the doctors do nothing about this except turn a deaf ear.
If you read the Merck Manual, you will see a part in there that discusses this very premise. It says that wastes in the colon can “spill out” into the surrounding tissues. Well, if the wastes spill out into the surrounding tissues, then where do they go? Into the reproductive organs. That’s the ovaries, the Fallopian tubes, cervix and vagina for women; and the prostate for men. How do you think all this waste affects organ functioning?
You’re right. It doesn’t do it any good.
Why is an At Home Colon Cleanse Important?
This is the basic premise of why an at home colon cleanse is important. You must remove the wastes or you will suffer. Think about those little old ladies – the ones they call “collectors” who collect wayward cats by the dozens. Their houses are an atrocity and the Health Department has to come in to close them down. The house is essentially condemned. The same thing happens with your colon when the wastes back up. Soon, the rest of your organs become “condemned”.
An at home colon cleanse can start with a simple enema. You can buy an enema bulb at the drug store for less than $15. The rubber bulb holds about two cups of water and looks like a giant testicle when filled with water. At least this can make you smile when you have to do something that is … a little unpleasant.
After adding pure distilled water to the enema bulb of the at home colon cleanse ‘kit’, you simply screw on the applicator part on top. Lubricate it with a little virgin olive oil. Then insert it into the rectum. Let the water come out slowly. There’s no race, you know…
Then, quickly, sit down on the toilet and wait for whatever is in the colon to come out. Wash up when you’re finished and that’s it. You just did your first at home colon cleanse.
