So Does The Master Cleanse Actually Work?

This does not mean, however, that we will not share with you problems or negative aspects that we encounter during our review of Master Cleanse.
The Master Cleanse Diet (also known as the Lemonade Diet, Lemon Cleanse or Maple Syrup Diet) was first developed as a dieting programme by Stanley Burroughs in 1941, and popularised by Pater Glickman in his book ‘Lose Weight, Have More Energy and Be Happier in 10 Days’.
By fasting for a period of 10 days, and taking in only a freshly made lemonade, the diet acts as an extreme colon cleanser. It helps to clean out the toxic build up of mucus waste which is stored in the digestive system. Along with the lemonade, the diet also involves optional sea-salt or herbal tea ‘flushes’ which further help to rid the colon of built up waste.
Excess weight in the form of mucus build up is shed from the body, allowing weight loss of up to 20lbs during a 10 day period. It is the lure of fast (and preferably effortless) weight loss that attracts most people to the diet, however there are other much more important benefits to be gained from the diet.
The diet is exceptionally difficult to do, with most people failing on the first day. Side effects include severe headaches, listlessness, severe hunger, and strong cravings.
The Master Cleanse Diet can be carried out for between 3 and 10 days. During the fast, a minimum of 60oz of specially made lemonade should be drunk which provides what the body needs to be able to cleanse itself. Additional water intake – 1 oz for every lb of body weight is also recommended.
The ingredients are:
Filtered water: Tap water contains many different chemicals, some of which are undesirable for natural health.
Organic Lemon Juice: Freshly squeezed from organic lemons. This ensure freshness and ultimate vitamin and nutrient content.
Maple Syrup (Grade B): This is genuine maple syrup, not the maple flavoured syrups sold for use on the breakfast table.
Cayenne Pepper Powder: This helps to flavour the lemonade, break down the mucus build up in the colon and promote increased blood supply to the area. Cayenne also contains Super Vitamins – the C and B vitamins.
The Master Cleanse Summary
Optional additions to the diet are flushing laxatives in the form of herbal teas and unrefined sea salt.
Our findings are that the Master Cleanse Diet results in renewed vitality, a modified attitude about food and eating, and increased energy levels.
