Colon Cleanse Necessary

The term “natural colon cleanse” is almost an oxymoron. That’s because the drug companies really haven’t hit the markets yet with their unnatural colon cleanse formulas.

It probably won’t be long though before they do, since obviously there is money to be made by selling colon cleanses to the general public.

Everyone has a colon and every colon needs a good colon cleansing from time to time. It just makes good mechanical sense. Ask a mechanic if a car needs an oil change every once in awhile. He’ll say yes. Or a check up to see if the mechanical parts are working.

Your body is the same way. It’s a mechanical thing. You body works on basic mechanical principles – that is, physiology and endocrinology.

Mechanical Failure Possible

It’s too easy for the intestinal tract to get all backed up these days. You could go to a birthday party and discover that the only thing to eat is birthday cake – white or chocolate cake with plenty of sugar frosting on it that has absolutely no nutrients in it. The beverage might be soda pop. Where’s the nutrient content in that? It’s nowhere to be seen.

So let’s say that you indulge in this birthday cake and soda pop, just because everyone else is doing it. What happens to your colon? What happens to your body?

The white flour has little bulk or fiber in it and it ends up sitting there in the intestinal tract simply because it doesn’t have enough fiber to push it through. The longer it sits, the more it ferments. The more it ferments, the more you get gas from the fermentation process. The longer it ferments, the more the chemicals inside the digestive mash start to change into ones that cause cancer. Ugh! How pretty is that!

And that’s when you better get home and start doing a natural colon cleanse. The sooner you can remove that birthday cake digestive mash out of the intestines, the sooner your gas will be relieved and the sooner your colon can personally thank you.

Here are some guidelines for doing natural colon cleanses:

  1. A natural colon cleanse should be done on a regular basis. If you regularly eat processed foods, junk foods and birthday cake, better schedule these on a monthly basis. The risk is colon cancer and it’s just not that pleasant to show up at the next birthday party with a colostomy bag attached to your colon because part of the colon had to be removed due to cancer.
  2. There are a wide variety of natural colon cleanses. Some that shouldn’t be called natural colon cleanses are ones that are primarily made of fiber. Geez! Why they try to confuse people is a mystery to me. If it’s a fiber supplement, it’s a simple fiber supplement. Telling people that it’s a natural colon cleanse just because it is a fiber … is just WRONG!
  3. Another type of natural colon cleanse is a 5 to 7-day colon cleanse. These may boast about being a quick cleanse and even have words like, “lose weight fast.” If you do lose weight from a natural colon cleanse, it will stay off if the weight lost is old fecal matter that was just sitting in your colon. However, if you continue to have bowels that don’t move regularly as they should, then you can expect the weight to come back.
  4. One type of natural colon cleanse is a 2-week colon cleanse. This is more effective than the 5 to 7-day colon cleanse because it has a chance to work in the body for a longer period of time. The longer that you do a colon cleanse, the more you increase your chances to increase the functioning of the colon and bring it to optimum.
  5. Another type of natural colon cleanse is a 30-day colon cleanse. Just as the 2-week colon cleanse is more effective than the 1-week colon cleanse, the 30-day colon cleanse is more effective than the 2-week one. Ideally, you want a 6-week colon cleanse. Six weeks gives you enough time to restore a lot of the function. However, in some cases of stubborn constipation, more than six weeks is needed. You may need up to 6-months to cleanse your colon, so give your body the amount of time that you need.
